7.1 Joining the traffic
Driver must always give way to other traffic when joining the road from the yard of a building, residential precinct, parking place, service station or from other similar area or track or from other minor road or snow-mobile route.
Drivers can drive off from the side of the road, when it can be done without danger and without unnecessarily blocking other road users. The driver has to use the turn signal to warn others.
Order of actions
Plan your route. Walk around the car. Check that the car is in driving condition and that there are no objects etc. near the car.
Check from the rear-view mirror that there are no cars, that your drive off could disturb, approaching from the behind.
Turn on the left indicator.
Check the side mirror and blind spot.
Look ahead and drive off.
